Jack and the Beanstalk

I’ve been in the fairytale mood lately. Other than positioning, I admit this was a rather simple render. My Mac has been running impossibly slow these days. So, I didn’t even bother dealing with the lighting. Still, when I think of Jack on the beanstalk, my imagination always says bright and sunny day.

Dragon Fly Woman

It’s been awhile since I’ve played around with Daz Studio. These days, I’ve felt a wee bit more motivated. Well… actually, my mood has improved greatly since I started my new job. It’s put a bit of spring in my step. And that feeling of lightness has led to a little productivity.

I have to admit… I didn’t put much effort into this. However, I like the lighting and the feel. This design was completely rendered in Daz Studio with no touchups.

Ruined Family Photo

Last time I talked about participating in the weekly PC Challenge at DAZ and presented my unedited render. This time around, we’ll take a look at the photoshopped picture. I only made a few changes this time around. It only includes two additional photoshop layers. The first layer is a background of a picture frame, which I set to multiply. That layer gave the picture the dirty texture. The second layer is a duplicate of the same background. This time I left the layer as normal and simply used a mask to reveal the actual picture while leaving the frame.

Simple enough. 🙂 Like I said, it didn’t win the prize, but here it is. Stick around and I’ll show you how I integrated this render into another render.
